Welcome to September's newsletter
Summer 2020 is drawing to a close. I hope most of you were able to enjoy it perhaps with smaller trips around our beautiful BC. Staying local is not necessarily bad, luckily we have so many lovely spots to visit. We took a little time away from home to visit Whistler so I could concentrate on the Stampin’UP! Leaders Summit this past weekend and have some fun too there. We got to dine at our favourite restaurant, The Mexican Corner. Anyone heading up to Whistler and loves Mexican food, should dine there.
Here is Chris and I enjoying our meal at The Mexican Corner.
When I wasn't attending the summit, my other pastime is taking pictures of Chris taking pictures...hahaha...had to share this.
Stampin'UP!'s Demonstrator's #SimpleStamping challenge
Other than stamps, ink and paper, for August we could use any Designer Series Paper.
I created this card with the Whale Done Suite. (Thank you Anne for inspiring me to get this suite. I love it!) I stamped the turtle and the sentiment on Whale of a Time Designer Series paper with Pacific Point. With some simple tearing, it created depth and texture to the card. I'll let you know if my card get selected in next month's newsletter.
Introducing Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
I am excited to say that as of today, September 1st, the new big Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine is available to everyone now. I purchased mine last month and I have had a chance to play with it.I was not sure if I would notice a difference between my Big Shot or this new machine but I have to admit it has been a joy to use. It is quieter, smoother, the handle is bigger and easy to grip, lighter and compact for storing which most of you who know me, makes it perfect for my crafting corner.
For Stamp Club members, if you are thinking of purchasing this in the future, consider waiting until it is your Host Month, perfect time to get it then. For those not needing to upgrade, do not worry, all of the Stampin’UP! exclusive dies and emboss folders will still work with your Big Shot. My only suggestion is you may like to purchase the Speciality Plate (plate #4) - Annual catalogue page 172, item #154711, to use with 3D embossing folders.
If you have any questions regarding machines please do not hesitate to contact me.
