My tree is up and Christmas decorations are sprinkled around the house and most importantly my Christmas cards are made – well not quite, (emoji: winky face). I am thankful I have my hobbies and that they keep me out of trouble. November Newsletter
How is everyone? Well I hope. I think we are slowly adjusting to the new normal and after hosting the first official online stamp club a few weeks ago, I know this will be our new normal for a little while longer – not forever but just for now. So for our now, I believe getting together even if virtually with like minded friends, this way of gathering together is still fun, inspiring and encouraging. I know that our stamp club is all this to me. I would not be in my crafting corner as much were it not for stamp club, so to my stamp club members, thank you.
For those who attended my World Card Making Day event, thank you for spending time with me and the others. I had a couple of friends make guest appearances. Francine a crafter at heart from Tennessee and Betty, my Stampin’UP! Demonstrator friend from Massachusetts. It was neat having them join along. It was a pleasure to host a casual afternoon for all of us to work on personal projects. I did do a couple of prize patrols but we did not end up playing bingo but we all seemed okay with this since we were working hard on our cards. I think for next year I would like to host another World Card Making day, so hopefully if you did not make it this years' you will in 2021.
CHRISTMAS CRAFTING RETREAT (VIRTUALLY)
Unfortunately this year I will not be able to hold a face to face Christmas card class as I have in the past. Instead, on November 21 and 22 I will be on ZOOM during set hours for what I am calling “Christmas Crafting Retreat”. I hope that you will join me on one or both days.We can work on our Christmas cards or other craft projects together and even though we will be working on our own projects, the idea is that we still connect and have fun together. We can bounce ideas of off each other, tell stories or work in silence because just knowing there is someone else working along side of you is comforting.
So, I do hope you can join me because I would love to see what you are creating.
Here are the dates and times:
Saturday, November 21 – 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Sunday, November 22 – 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
JOLLY GINGERBREAD PAPER PUMPKIN – NOVEMBER’S KIT

(STAMPIN’UP! DEMONSTRATOR ONLINE CONVENTION)
This a Demonstrataor event. This event is Stampin’UP!’s annual convention that would have taken place in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you remember, I attended my first virtual Stampin’UP! Convention in August and it was fantastic. Some of you know how impressed I was with the Leadership convention, so I can only imagine how amazing this virtual annual convention is going to be. Stampin’UP! announced to us that they have hired star studded enterntainment to kick-off the convention for Thursday night, so I am curious and excited to see who they
are. I know it will be weird dancing along on my own in front of a laptop by what the heck, if the tunes are good why not.
The thrill of receiving our swag bags filled with goodies is just one element of how Stampin’UP! has made an effort to keep this virtual convention as similar to a live event as possible, (pictures above). I know there will also be other surprises over the two and a half days, including prize patrol and most importantly getting our PDF copy of the January to June Mini Catalogue plus the first of two Sale-A-Bration catalogues. I will not be able to post any pictures of the catalogue but any new Make & Take projects I create with new products, I will be able to share. I will be posting during the convention days, so make sure to visit my Instagram.

September 2020 Newsletter
Welcome to September's newsletter
Summer 2020 is drawing to a close. I hope most of you were able to enjoy it perhaps with smaller trips around our beautiful BC. Staying local is not necessarily bad, luckily we have so many lovely spots to visit. We took a little time away from home to visit Whistler so I could concentrate on the Stampin’UP! Leaders Summit this past weekend and have some fun too there. We got to dine at our favourite restaurant, The Mexican Corner. Anyone heading up to Whistler and loves Mexican food, should dine there.
Here is Chris and I enjoying our meal at The Mexican Corner.
When I wasn't attending the summit, my other pastime is taking pictures of Chris taking pictures...hahaha...had to share this.
Stampin'UP!'s Demonstrator's #SimpleStamping challenge
Other than stamps, ink and paper, for August we could use any Designer Series Paper.
I created this card with the Whale Done Suite. (Thank you Anne for inspiring me to get this suite. I love it!) I stamped the turtle and the sentiment on Whale of a Time Designer Series paper with Pacific Point. With some simple tearing, it created depth and texture to the card. I'll let you know if my card get selected in next month's newsletter.
Introducing Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
I am excited to say that as of today, September 1st, the new big Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine is available to everyone now. I purchased mine last month and I have had a chance to play with it.I was not sure if I would notice a difference between my Big Shot or this new machine but I have to admit it has been a joy to use. It is quieter, smoother, the handle is bigger and easy to grip, lighter and compact for storing which most of you who know me, makes it perfect for my crafting corner.
For Stamp Club members, if you are thinking of purchasing this in the future, consider waiting until it is your Host Month, perfect time to get it then. For those not needing to upgrade, do not worry, all of the Stampin’UP! exclusive dies and emboss folders will still work with your Big Shot. My only suggestion is you may like to purchase the Speciality Plate (plate #4) - Annual catalogue page 172, item #154711, to use with 3D embossing folders.
If you have any questions regarding machines please do not hesitate to contact me.

June's 2020 Newsletter
How is everyone? I hope you are all well and even during this time of separation are still doing things you enjoy in a safe manner. One thing many of us are doing is turning to our hobbies to get us through this unique situation. Thank goodness we can paper craft and still do it together. We've had a couple of successful ZOOM gatherings and even though we cannot be face to face, meeting this way still allows us to share stories, laugh, connect and have fun crafting together. Looking ahead to the rest of the year, I will continue to plan to hold all of our clubs, Paper Pumpkin Nights and possible card class via ZOOM. I hope that you continue to join me in this way.
Crafting with you has always been my pleasure. I am want to impress upon you all who craft with me and support my Stampin'UP! "hobby" business, how truly grateful I am for you and for the friendship Stampin'UP! has helped me create with you. Yup, I'm being mushy because on May 8th, one day shy of my 13th Stampin'UP! anniversary, I reached a 100,000 (US) in career sales which I could not have achieved it without you. Stampin'UP! recognizes Demonstrators who reach this goal with a reward - not as extravagant as if you reach 1,000,000 in sales but still a nice bonus. This is a goal that I had never though I would achieve. Thank you for loving Stampin'UP! like I do, stamping with me and having a passion for paper crafting. Virtual hugs for all of you.
Stampin'UP! News
Catalogue news:
The month of June is the start of the new Annual catalogue season but this is the last year we will see the reveal in June. 2020 is turning to be a transition year because Stampin'UP! will be changing the month when catalogues are launched. 2021 will be the first full year Stampin'UP! will release all catalogues one month earlier that in the past but luckily we will get to experience this with our next Mini catalogue (Aug-Dec, formerly known as the Holiday catalogue). This means that we get to start creating our Christmas cards one month earlier. Please keep an eye out for my emails about this change. Very excited!!
So, focusing back on this year's new Annual Catalogue, on Wednesday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. we will all be able to start placing orders from this catalogue and start creating new projects.
Special Host Reward Promotion in June:
Shop or host an event during the month of June and earn additional Stamping' Rewards with a qualifying order.
Okay, the next most anticipated and exciting news in the new Annual catalogue is the new machine, Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. Now, there isn't just one new machine but TWO new machines. Yes, TWO! A standard size and a mini machine. Can you believe it? The mini one is soooo adorable but not just cute, it is functional and will work with all small dies and the new 3" x 6" emboss folders. The platforms on each machines fold up. This awesome new feature will make it great for storing and for taking out of the house. They each come will all the plates needed to use with each machine. Unfortunately, these to new products will not be available right on June 3rd but as soon as they are, I will let you know. So, still make sure to check them out in your new catalogue - add them to your wish list if you want to upgrade your Big Shot.
